Congratulations to Ashwood Homes’ customer care administrator Kate Fielding who recently completed a mammoth cycling challenge for charity.

Kate joined her partner Brendan Wilson to cycle from Cleethorpes to Peterborough – basically the length of Lincolnshire – to raise money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), which looks after terminally Ill children and their families.

The pair completed the 96-mile challenge in 11 hours and so far have raised about £800.
Brendan decided to take on the challenge after seeing a map of Lincolnshire on the TV one evening and chose to support EACH because, he says, the thought of sick children breaks his heart.
On his JustGiving page, where people are still able to donate, Brendan said: “It is a fantastic charity that provides all the care needed not only for the children and young people but for the families that have to endure such a terrible time.”
